Top 5 Role Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively to establish, lead, and contribute to internal/external engineering/design teams.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with the team and customers via all channels.
- Assemble engineering teams to design projects, resolve issues, solve problems, and ensure accurate plans; support other departments as needed.
- Teach and mentor team members.
- Lead General Arrangement Design; foster communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, and progress; document changes; use online tools for efficiency.
Education And Qualifications
- 2 or 4-year degree from college or technical school in structural, architectural, electrical, or mechanical drafting or design.
- Combined experience and industry educational certifications to demonstrate competency will be considered.
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, and communicate clearly is required.
- Experience in equipment commissioning and startup is beneficial.
- Experience 3D scanning and working with point clouds is beneficial.
- PREFERRED: Experience with Autodesk Design Suite (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Demands
- Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
- Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking.
- Frequently requires standing, fine dexterity, sitting, and handling; typical of office work.
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
- Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels.
- Must be able to respond quickly to sounds.
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations.
- Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
- Must be able to work in cold/hot environments and on concrete floors.
- Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching.
