Sr. Database Administrator

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Database Administrator to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will oversee the administration of multiple database platforms that support critical business operations in a remote environment. The position is focused on maintaining availability, security, and performance while helping guide database changes, migrations, and operational improvements. You will also work closely with infrastructure and application teams to resolve issues, support deployments, and ensure reliable data services across environments. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain multiple database platforms to support operational stability
• Ensure high availability and security of database systems across environments
• Implement database changes and support migration efforts
• Monitor database health and performance metrics to ensure optimal operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deployments and troubleshoot issues

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing SQL Server in both self-hosted and cloud environments
• Proficiency in Azure SQL, SQL Server Managed Instance, and Managed PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with InfluxDB and other time-series databases
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and high availability practices
• Solid understanding of database performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting

Pay

$110,000 – $155,000 annually
