Sr. Database Administrator
About the role
Oversee user system access, including account coordination, access tracking, permissions support, and related administrative controls.
Generate custom data queries and reports to support organizational metrics, readiness tracking, program reporting, and management analysis.
Perform routine maintenance, preventative measures, monitoring, and data recording to support reliable system and database operations.
Maintain accurate records of database activities, user access actions, routine processing, issue resolution, and operational support tasks.
Coverage of mission and contract requirements through coordination with program, technical, cybersecurity, and logistics personnel.
Responsibilities
- Process scheduled computer and database routines that present limited operating difficulties, including infrequent or readily resolved error conditions.
- Respond to computer output instructions, system messages, and error conditions by applying standard operating procedures and corrective actions.
- Apply standard operating and corrective procedures to identify and resolve common system, database, or computer output issues.
- Refer problems that do not respond to established or preplanned procedures to appropriate technical personnel or supervisory staff.
- Support routine computer operations and database activities under general supervision, and may assist senior technical staff or system operators as needed.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Database Administration, or related field preferred.
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience in computer operations, database support, systems administration, data management, or related technical support required.
- Understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and routine computer operations.
- Ability to follow and apply standard operating procedures and corrective procedures to routine system, database, and computer output issues.
- Capable of identifying and resolving common or easily corrected error conditions.
- Ability to recognize and escalate problems that are not covered by preplanned procedures.
- Experience supporting user access administration, account coordination, permissions tracking, or system access documentation.
- Ability to generate custom data queries, reports, spreadsheets, or metrics to support organizational decision-making.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance, preventative measures, system monitoring, and accurate data recording.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to report issues, document actions taken, and collaborate with team members.
- Strong attention to detail in monitoring systems, recording data, tracking access, and maintaining operational documentation.
- Ability to work effectively under general supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with database tools, reporting tools, SharePoint, SQL, or similar data management platforms preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Government stakeholders, technical personnel, program staff, subcontractors, and a diverse range of individuals.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and compliance.
