Sr. Customer Delivery Engineer (CDE), Global Enterprise Services (GES)

About the role

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network designed to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. The Customer Delivery Engineer (CDE) for Amazon Leo serves as the primary technical authority and trusted advisor for customers integrating Leo services. This role bridges the gap between customer needs and Amazon Leo's technical capabilities, driving successful implementation, managing integration activities, and ensuring long-term customer success.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure Leo solutions tailored to customer needs
• Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery across diverse technologies in networking, cloud, backoffice and hardware integration
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
• Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
• Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols
• 3+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• 5+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience
• 5+ years of scripting and programming with at least one modern language (i.e. Java, Python, PowerShell)
• Experience in field deployments, supporting customers with hardware installation and integration
