Sr Customer and Social Media Marketing Manager
About the role
Obsidian is seeking a strategic and creative Customer Marketing Manager to build and scale programs that deepen customer engagement, celebrate customer success, and turn users into passionate advocates. This role involves developing and managing customer advocacy and engagement programs, creating high-quality customer stories, testimonials, and milestone announcements, collaborating cross-functionally to identify strong customer stories, building and maintaining a roster of customer champions, tracking engagement and measuring the impact of customer marketing initiatives, and driving engagement with security professionals on LinkedIn.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage customer advocacy and engagement programs, including reference networks, lifecycle touchpoints, and customer marketing initiatives.
- Alongside Product Marketing Managers, produce high-quality customer stories, case studies, testimonials, and milestone announcements that highlight Obsidian’s value proposition.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Product Marketing, and Leadership to identify strong customer stories and expand use cases.
- Build and maintain a roster of customer champions who can support reference calls, speak at events/webinars, provide quotes, and participate in co-marketing.
- Track engagement and measure the impact of customer marketing initiatives on retention, advocacy, and pipeline influence.
- Build and manage the company’s social media strategy and day-to-day content publishing and curation to raise brand awareness and strengthen Obsidian’s positioning as a leader in SaaS and AI security.
- Create short-form videos and digital assets to support marketing needs.
- Responsible for driving engagement with security professionals on LinkedIn.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in customer marketing, product marketing, or customer success.
- A good understanding of the cyber security space, specifically SaaS and AI security (a plus).
- 2-3 years of B2B social media engagement, with a strong understanding of LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Ability to create short-form videos and digital assets to support marketing needs.
- Exceptional storytelling, interviewing, and content development skills with a strong understanding of how to effectively engage on LinkedIn.
- A strong relationship builder with the ability to work closely with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for amplifying customer impact and building programs from the ground up.

Pay
Pay transparency: The base salary range is $195,000 USD - $212,000 USD. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible for equity awards and may be eligible for sales commission or incentive compensation based on the role or function within the company.
