Sr Cost Analyst / Manager (REMOTE)

NOTE: You must live in the Boston Area. This role is MOSTLY REMOTE, but will have the occasional meeting and interface with the company's Boston office. You need to live near enough to Boston. No relocation is being provided. THE ROLE Our client, a global billion-dollar consumer manufacturing organization, is seeking a strong financial professional to own various functions for the company. The role will be a great mix of cost & inventory accounting, technology transformation and process improvement, projects, analytics, and mentoring a team. This is not a traditional cost accounting role. It's more exciting than a traditional role due to the visibility, impact, and project nature of the role. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in finance or accounting, along with experience supporting inventory, costing, and system-related initiatives. This position is primarily remote, but candidates should live close enough to the Greater Boston area to attend occasional team meetings in person. Boston office access is available for those who prefer a more regular onsite presence. Key Responsibilities· Oversee inventory asset accounting and analysis, including WIP, and other inventory categories, while ensuring accuracy of inventory valuation and quantities.· Manage production invoice review and approvals, prepare month-end reporting and analyses, and support quarterly audits.· Partner with various teams on inventory, finance, and process improvement projects, including systems enhancements, migrations, and IT collaboration to improve integration across multiple systems.· Lead and mentor junior staff while developing a strong operational understanding of departmental processes to drive efficiency and continuous improvement. QUALIFICATIONS· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance· 3+ years of relevant experience· Background in costing, inventory, manufacturing accounting, financial analysis, or related finance functions· Experience supporting IT-related projects, systems improvements, or process migration initiatives. Oracle or other ERP experience is needed. The role is $90-100k salary plus bonus.Very good benefits and paid time off.Great work life balance on top of the remote nature.
