Sr. Cost Accountant
Responsibilities
- Support month end close activities and financial reporting
- Manage inventory accounting, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Analyze manufacturing costs, standard costing, labor, and overhead variances
- Aid with general ledger accounting
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate inventory and cost reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements where appropriate
- Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variances
- Experience supporting month end close in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- CPA or MBA preferred, but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
- Extensive Aerospace/ Manufacturing or publicly traded company experience (must have)
