Sr. Cost Accountant
About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly material and manufacturing variances, inventory reserves, inventory movement, costs of sales, and system cost flows.
- Investigate data.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to understand and communicate monthly operational cost variances.
- Prepare monthly financial performance packages.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Design and prepare monthly Operations Financial Performance Package.
- Support quarterly forecasting process and annual budget preparation.
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency in month end close process.
Requirements
- Four-year college or university degree or its equivalent in Accounting or business related field.
- Two to three years' experience in Cost Accounting, financial modeling and analysis in a Manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Experience in JDEdwards, Oracle or related ERP system.

Pay
SALARY RANGE National Target Base Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $133,000.00. The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and New York metro the Target Base Pay Range is $88,000 - $146,000, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas. Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills.
