Sr. Contract Administrator - Hybrid

Responsibilities
- Maintain and demonstrate a working understanding of the U.S. government acquisition and procurement environment, the BAE Systems Contracts function, relevant Company policies and procedures, commercial contracting methods, export, FAR/DFAR, and other government regulations.
- Acquire a general understanding of the different pricing environments relevant in government contracting.
- Lead assigned proposal activities including analyzing solicitations, preparing summaries with attention to financial and business risk, participating in proposal team meetings, preparing terms, conditions, and assumptions, reviewing technical and pricing proposals for accuracy and consistency, and preparing proposal documents for submittal.
- Coordinate with other company functions to ensure appropriate reviews, schedule required reviews, and obtain approval signatures prior to submittal of proposals or execution of contractual documents.
- Lead simple and support moderately complex to complex negotiations using appropriate tools and techniques to achieve optimum business outcomes.
- Research and make recommendations on contract language; seek guidance on complex terms and conditions from higher-level contract administrators and managers.
- Negotiate routine contracts independently and moderately complex contracts under the general guidance of the Contracts manager.
- Actively participate and contribute to the implementation of new business methods, processes, and contracting concepts to optimize company and customer positions.
- Perform all aspects of assigned contract processing, including accuracy of order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, receipts and delivery schedules, legal requirements, and other commitments.
- Support the preparation of various agreements such as non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), teaming agreements, memorandum of understanding/agreements, strategic alliances, and others as opportunities present.
- Participate in the final stages of assigned contracts by verifying completion of commitments and performing contract closeout activities.
- Maintain logs of proposals and other data as required; assist in data collection for monthly and quarterly reporting to management.
- Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and company policies.
- Serve as the custodian for all contractual documentation and correspondence relative to assigned contracts.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and the customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts and projects, including auxiliary agreements such as proprietary information agreements.
- Draft, prepare, and execute internal and external correspondence on contractual matters with increasing autonomy under the supervision of a Contracts manager.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of related contracts experience or equivalent experience in DoD contracting.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and upgrade to Top Secret/SCI Poly level.
- Strong team player who enjoys working with program management and other functional disciplines in a supportive and complementary manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with proposal activities and managing elements thereof.
Preferred Qualifications
- JD or MBA degree in Business or related field.
- Experience with Government FAR-based and Commercial contracts.
- Active Top Secret Clearance and capability to complete an SCI/Poly for special program access.

Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $82,779 - $140,723. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
