Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Affiliate with the Construction Group to oversee capital projects from initiation to closeout.
- Participate in project teams to develop project scope, cost estimate, and schedule.
- Attend site field and scope visits, assist in developing schedules, and create detailed construction plans.
- Identify required permits and develop detailed estimates.
- Work with major accounts groups to coordinate outages affecting customers.
- Create bid packages, review responses, and select vendors.
- Organize and conduct pre-bid meetings with contractors.
- Collaborate on design constructability reviews for various disciplines.
- Create detailed construction plans, including outage lists, work dates, and resource requirements.
- Address safety hazards and environmental concerns during construction.
- Maintain and report on project construction schedule and costs.
- Perform quality assurance checks during construction.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee construction sites for transmission substations and lines.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent required.
- At least ten (10) years of experience in electric utility transmission and distribution, construction, manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Superior interpersonal, leadership, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite of products, especially MS Word and MS Excel.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Sufficient manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations.
