Responsibilities
- Serves as a strategist, subject-matter expert, lead writer and creator of complex content.
- Develops and implements integrated communications plans that support key objectives of clinical service lines, departments or programs for strategic priorities.
- Pulls data and participates in review of communications activities to determine effectiveness.
- Develops and executes promotional and/or integrated marketing programs.
- Pulls data and participates in reviewing effectiveness of communications.
- Develops and writes a variety of moderately complex content aimed at internal and external audiences.
- Serves as a subject-matter expert for assigned strategic service lines or programs.
- Works closely with the Marketing Strategy team to understand the strategy and business objectives of the assigned area.
- Maintains relationships with top faculty and staff, monitors health care/research publications and other steps to remain current with the happenings within departments, service line and industry.
- Serves as editor of print or online newsletters as needed.
- Assists with writing/editing for other projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or related field and 5 years of relevant experience required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing content based on target audience required
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills required
- Understanding and compliance with HIPAA requirements preferred
