Sr Commercial Operations Analyst

About the Role

The Senior Commercial Operations Analyst provides data-driven insights and operational support to the Commercial organization, reporting to the Director of Analytics within Finance. This position partners with commercial leadership to transform data from multiple sources into actionable recommendations that support revenue growth, commercial execution, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate commercial dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reports across all markets.
• Analyze data from ERP, CRM, inventory, customer, and sales systems to identify trends, risks, and revenue opportunities.
• Deliver weekly commercial business reviews highlighting performance, trends, risks, and recommendations.
• Prepare executive reporting materials for regular business reviews.
• Create forecasting models, sales projections, and revenue tracking tools.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and identify potential risks for Commercial Leadership.
• Analyze purchasing behavior, assortment trends, inventory health, promotional effectiveness, and sales performance.
• Support territory planning, account segmentation, quota tracking, and performance measurement.
• Analyze syndicated market data to assess market share, pricing, competitive activity, and assortment opportunities.
• Provide competitive intelligence and actionable commercial recommendations.
• Maintain CRM data integrity and reporting accuracy.
• Measure promotional ROI, trade investment effectiveness, and distribution performance.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve operational processes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure consistent reporting.
• Serve as an analytical partner to commercial leadership by translating complex data into clear business recommendations.
• Support executive presentations, business cases, and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Intelligence, or Commercial Analytics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, PivotTables, and advanced formulas.
• Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Preferred experience with syndicated data sources such as Headset, BDSA, Nielsen, or Circana.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Pay

Salary range of $110,000 to $130,000 per year in the selected city. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
