Sr. Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist

About the role

Performs a wide variety of tasks related to loan servicing as related to commercial loans according to established policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines thus assuring overall quality and integrity of the Bank’s commercial loan portfolios. Assists the junior staff with questions related to department processes and functions that are more complex in nature.

Location: Boston, MA or Pittsfield, MA

Responsibilities

• Onboards new loans to the bank’s core system reviewing Credit Approval Memo, loan documents and Boarding Data sheet to ensure accuracy.
• Processes modifications to loans in core ensuring data is accurate for loan functions and reporting requirements.
• Ensures accurate processing of payments, loan advances and transaction reversals necessary to maintain accuracy in the loan core system.
• Processes all non-accrual and charge-off entries for the Commercial Loan Department as well as all OREO transfers.
• Manages and processes the bank’s rate indices in IBS Bank Control that are priced daily. Ensures they are processed and updated accurately and timely.
• Reconciles general ledger balances to ensure system accuracy.
• Monitors the Salesforce Queues for requests and processes accordingly.
• Completes Audit Confirmations timely and accurately.
• Monitors and manages Loan Servicing ticklers as needed.
• Handles all aspects of SWAP loans related to the payment process.
• Monitors and services specialty loans such as pooled loans and USDA loans.
• Processes requests from the Workout Department related to SBA repurchases.
• Assists in the testing of new system releases and in new products to ensure continuity.
