Responsibilities
- Grows a fully self-sourced portfolio of commercial loans.
- Manages calling program and pipeline reporting using Salesforce while maintaining client data as proprietary company information.
- Responsible for ensuring that clients' entire banking relationship needs are met by making introductions to our experts in private banking, treasury management, deposit products and other applicable bank products.
- Fosters client relationships in a way that endears clients to the bank, not limited to individuals, such as making introductions to the broad team of associates, facilitating ownership and senior management client introductions, and maintaining up-to-date client information within the CRM.
- Solicits, analyzes, structures, risk rates, presents for approval, and negotiates commercial loan requests.
- Excels at delegating to and working with other professionals—portfolio managers, credit, closing, document preparation, loan operations, legal, and loan review—to maintain a portfolio, efficiently and effectively close loans, provide excellent client service, and develop other associates within the commercial banking and credit areas.
- Relying on others to complete tasks, responsible for managing portfolio to sound credit quality, overall portfolio return, client retention, and relationship banking.
- Responsible for continual improvements to cost to close and cost to maintain portfolio by focusing efforts on sales and production while leveraging skills of other professionals to conduct other duties.
- Develops less experienced commercial banking associates through delegation of duties, oversight of work, and introductions to clients.
- Understand, communicate, and instill the Company's mission, vision, and values (Pillars of Success).
- Completes monthly training in a timely manner to ensure knowledge of bank regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Works at the worksite during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.
- Other specified duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong credit analysis skills.
- Proficient use of standard computer/software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite of products, Internet, video conferencing; Experience in Salesforce and nCino or other CRM or loan originating system strongly preferred.
- Must be goal-oriented, self-disciplined, self-motivated, and client-focused with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to communicate complex data and structural components to a variety of people and work in a team-building environment.
- Willing and able to take a team approach to client relationships and work to ensure all associates are providing the highest and best value of their time and talents.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration required, MBA or other related graduate degree, preferred.
- Proven track record of relationship-based business development.
- Minimum eight years of related commercial lending experience.
