Sr. Commercial Analytics Specialist

The Senior Commercial Analytics Specialist is responsible for analyzing the performance of the brand and the execution of the commercial channels that propel the brand, by developing key strategic initiatives, and aligning on KPIs. This role will provide key insights to business partners within commercial organizations to inform business decisions. The team deploys a variety of exciting analytical software and techniques that the analyst will be able to simultaneously use and learn.
Responsibilities
- Use descriptive and advanced analytics methods to generate actionable insights from large quantities of third party and/or enterprise data.
- Create and communicate the story through the data, using appropriate visualizations.
- Lead cross-functional partnerships to understand business requirements, transform the requirements into analytical frameworks, and articulate the results in an actionable, cogent fashion to drive decisions.
- Collaborate with Commercial team members to identify performance KPIs and create automated reports to track those KPIs.
- Consistently build effective relationships with team members and clients; ability to influence directly and indirectly.
- Lead improvement efforts for reporting and tracking mechanisms (tools and processes) to support effective, accurate data analysis.
- Contribute to and support data management efforts that enable data to be used for business reporting and analytics. Process and synthesize complex data and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Proactively anticipate needs of the customer and deliver quality results independently.
- May actively coach and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or other field related to the essential duties.
- 2+ years of working experience with SQL.
- 2+ years of working experience with at least one data visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, etc.).
- 3+ years of relevant business experience, or advanced degree, or professional certifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to apply qualitative or quantitative business analysis while leveraging primary or secondary data.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and leverage multiple data sources.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience working with or within a Commercial Organization.
- Working experience with the following platforms:
- Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.).
- Data preparation / processing tool (e.g. any of SQL, Alteryx, Tableau Prep etc.).
- Statistical tool (e.g. any of R, SAS, Python etc.).
- Relational data models.
- Experience developing and reviewing surveys.
Pay
The base pay for this position is $78,000.00 – $156,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
