About the role

Independently leads primary market research strategy and execution for the Ingrezza franchise at Neurocrine Biosciences by researching and analyzing the company's products, markets, and competition for both HCP and Patient audiences. Collaborates with organizational stakeholders within Commercial Analytics and Operations and cross-functionally in Marketing, Sales, and Access & Reimbursement, and participates actively in commercial planning efforts by providing unbiased, objective, and actionable insights and analyses.

  • Gathers relevant data through primary market research and, where necessary, collaborates with other team members to integrate secondary data analytics and competitive intelligence as appropriate.
  • Independently analyzes and summarizes data into insights and recommendations that are presented to cross-functional teams and occasionally senior leadership.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree and 8+ years of a combination of secondary analytics, primary market research, and/or competitive intelligence experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience within the CNS therapeutic area, launch experience, and managed markets experience preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred and 6+ years of similar experience noted above.
  • PhD and 4+ years of similar experience noted above.

Skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to integrate secondary data, primary market research and competitive intelligence to create insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the various methodologies of collecting and analyzing secondary data, primary market research, and competitive intelligence.
  • Advanced skill level with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word computer programs.
  • Strategic understanding of pharmaceutical sales, marketing and access/reimbursement with the ability to identify market drivers, trends, issues, etc.
  • Applies expert consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, and translation of solutions to business value.
  • Ability to convert complex information into easily understandable and persuasive oral and written presentations.
  • Evaluates and successfully manages vendors.
  • Strong project management, strong project leadership skills.
  • Independent anticipation of business and industry issues; recommends relevant process / technical / service improvements.
  • Applies in-depth expertise or unique knowledge.
  • Works as part of and lead multiple teams.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring skills and abilities typically leads lower levels and/or indirect teams.
