A Day in the Life

Accurately codes and abstracts outpatient medical records, meeting expected productivity standards.

Accurately codes and abstracts complex outpatient surgery procedures.

Sets up an organized system for personal coding reference material.

Participates in educational activities and maintains coding skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information is required.
• Certification as a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) is required.
• Two years’ previous coding experience using ICD10-CM, CPT-4 coding systems (Outpatient Senior Coder).

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
