Role Objectives
In this role, you'll support production by ensuring CNC equipment and related systems operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC equipment including mills, lathes, saws, and related production machinery
- Support electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize machine uptime and equipment life
- Observe equipment performance and identify root causes of failures and recurring issues
- Disassemble, repair, replace, and test mechanical and electrical components using appropriate tools and equipment
- Calibrate and align machinery to maintain production quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and schematics
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and support operational goals
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and parts records
- Initiate purchase requests for replacement parts and equipment
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment
- Train and mentor maintenance technicians on troubleshooting and best practices
- Follow OSHA requirements, LOTO procedures, and company safety policies
- Participate in on-call support and work flexible schedules as business needs require
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical degree, apprenticeship, or industry certifications preferred
- Minimum 7 years of CNC maintenance experience preferred
- Strong understanding of CNC systems and controls including Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazak, or similar systems
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
- Ability to diagnose issues involving HMIs, drives, and power supplies
- Experience installing and configuring drives preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production teams and leadership
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction and without the need for current or future sponsorship
