About the role
The Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist plays a crucial role in providing accurate and timely laboratory testing to support patient care and clinician decision-making. This position requires a strong foundation in laboratory science and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of laboratory work.
Responsibilities
- Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses according to established protocols.
- Review and document laboratory quality control procedures.
- Identify and address potential problems, contributing to the maintenance of high-quality test processes and results.
- Achieve and maintain competency on assigned laboratory tasks.
- Participate in research, validation, and implementation of new procedures and technologies.
- Maintain stringent quality standards by identifying and addressing issues that could impact test results and employee safety.
- Demonstrate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Model behaviors that promote high productivity, quality, and adherence to turnaround times.
- Support and assist in the development of laboratory staff's skills and knowledge.
- Oversee laboratory activities and provide guidance and feedback to junior laboratory scientists.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of high complexity clinical testing experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong professionalism and leadership skills.
- Intermediate-level project management skills.
- Strong technical skills and professional working knowledge of the job industry.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, or 90 semester hours with specific course requirements.
- Experience with laboratory automation and laboratory information systems.
- Experience in molecular biology techniques and principles.

Pay
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $69,000.00 to $122,000.00, depending on location and experience. This position is also eligible for bonuses.
Schedule
Tuesdays through Fridays, 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
