Sr. Lab Tech-3rd Shift

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Routine and new product development
• Cost reduction initiatives
• Tech service pilot plant trials
• Inventory and gather ingredients and supplies
• Batch routine/complex fluid, cultured, and frozen formulations
• Pilot plant and lab activities including assembly and operation
• Record data and report observations
• Collaborate on next steps with project leaders
• Document standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and teach to others
• Conduct routine production trials independently
• Conduct complex production trials independently
• Conduct routine lab tests independently

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 to 4 years of experience in a food or dairy industry (Vocational or collegiate training considered commensurate for experience)

Education And Experience

• Aptitude for equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitation
• Working knowledge of mathematics for formula calculations
• Able to generate ideas, test their effectiveness, and assist plan of action
• Professional oral and written communication skills

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of pilot plant, production, and lab procedures
• Able to read, write, and speak English

Pay

Salary range: $20.43 - $34.72 per hour
