Sr. Clinical Health Informaticist

Kentro is hiring an experienced Sr. Clinical Informaticist to support the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Responsibilities
- Work with a cross-functional team of SMEs, CACs, and clinical professionals to assess, analyze, and design clinical workflows as related to CPRS/VistA & Cerner transition for development of CPM-related convergence priorities through EHRM
- Provide domain-specific expertise focused on research, data gathering, and data analysis for the development of CPM Blueprints and the formation of Integrated Program Teams (IPT)
- Collaborate with Government staff and other potential SME teams (including VA staff) to determine the clinical need for the type and complexity of Clinical Decision Support (CDS) workflow processes for a specific clinical domain(s) with the intention that the Government can then use obtained information to inform number, type, and complexity of future CPM blueprints of value to VA
- Aid and work with the clinical analysts and terminologists to ensure that the clinical terminology to be included in future CPM Blueprints is accurate/correct
- Research and identify the content for, document the design and logic of and create and validate government-designated, standards-compliant CPM processes
- Cook up tasks/activities within a specific clinical program office (e.g., surgical, primary care, dental, specialty care)
- Conduct publication/NCBI research
- Consolidate clinical and evidence-based best practices
- Work with terminologists and/or clinical informaticists on analyzing clinical concepts, data standards, and/or reference sets
- Consult the medical literature, clinical texts, guidelines, SMEs, and other authoritative sources, including VA-specific sources, in the development of CPM blueprints
- Conduct research and gather data on ancillary packages (e.g., pharmacy, radiology, lab, women's health, surgery, etc.) in coordination with clinical analyst
Qualifications
- Degree in Medicine, nursing, bioinformatics, or health science
- Direct experience working with Veterans Health Affairs' customers/healthcare providers
- Minimum of ten years' experience working as a clinical informaticist on healthcare-related projects
- Demonstrate an understanding of the clinical setting, clinical practice, clinical informatics, and prevailing standard(s) to develop solutions with appropriate SMEs
- Skilled in MS Forms, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, SharePoint, reporting and analytics tools, and have the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience supporting health IT-related projects
- Experience leading a variety of clinical informatics research, data gathering, and analysis tasks
- Experience validating, interpreting, and analyzing clinical concepts, data, and trends using standard practices and techniques in the field(s) of specialization
- Experience interfacing directly with clients
Location
This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.
Salary Range
The salary for this position is between $150,000 – $160,000 annually. Factors affecting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
