Clinical Informaticist
About the role
Join a leading federal healthcare consulting firm as a Clinical Informaticist dedicated to supporting the Oracle Health Electronic Health Record (EHR) go-live at Veterans Affairs (VA) sites. As a Clinical Informaticist, you will work directly with clinical teams, IT professionals, and project managers to ensure the successful implementation of Oracle Health EHR systems at various VA medical centers.
Responsibilities
- Work with clinical teams to identify and resolve system issues, enhance workflows, and optimize the use of Oracle Health EHR.
- Conduct end-user training sessions and assist with the development of user guides and training materials.
- Provide recommendations for system configurations to align with VA policies and clinical needs.
- Gather feedback from clinical users to assess system performance and usability, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Ensure the implementation aligns with federal regulations, including VA healthcare standards and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and address issues that arise during the go-live phase, working closely with IT teams for timely resolutions.
- Document workflows, issues, and solutions throughout the go-live process and prepare regular progress reports.
- Foster collaboration and communication with VA stakeholders and project teams to drive successful EHR implementation.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a federal security clearance. (US Citizenship Required)
- Proven experience as a Clinical Informaticist with a focus on EHR systems and health IT.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in clinical informatics, preferably within the VA healthcare environment or similar government healthcare systems.
- Familiarity with Oracle Health EHR systems or other EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Experience in providing go-live support, including user training and workflow optimization.
- Knowledge of federal healthcare regulations and standards, especially within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during high-stakes implementation phases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Able to manage competing priorities and timelines while delivering high-quality results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Clinical Informatics, Pharmacy, or a related field (required)
- Master’s degree in Clinical Informatics, Health Information Management, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine, or a related field (preferred).
- Clinical Informatics certification (e.g., AMIA, Board Certified in Clinical Informatics) is a plus.
- Experience or training in both clinical care and informatics is strongly preferred, with priority given to applicants with a clinical background in nursing, pharmacy, or medicine.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with flexible hours to accommodate the go-live schedule.
