Responsibilities

• Review, process, investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle assigned property damage or bodily injury claims with authority level generally up to $150,000.00.
• Understand and apply knowledge of litigation management in multiple jurisdictions.
• Perform complete coverage analysis.
• Conduct necessary investigation by phone or through independent adjusters to determine coverage, liability and damages.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and settle assigned property damage or severe general liability and/or complex bodily injury claims within granted authority, or seek authority for claims in excess of authority.
• Resolve coverage disputes with insureds and agents.
• Prepare coverage opinion letters.

Qualifications

• At least 10+ years relevant industry general liability claim handling experience.
• Multi-state experience required.
• Litigation experience required.
• Ability to work independently while assimilating various technical subjects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• License Requirements: Per State or Jurisdictional requirements.
• Some travel required for attendance at mediations, settlement conferences, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
