Sr. Claims Specialist
About the role
The Sr. Claims Specialist plays a crucial role in managing cyber insurance claims, particularly those involving ransomware, business email compromise, business interruption, and financial fraud. This position requires a deep understanding of insurance claims-handling, with at least 4-8 years of experience, and a focus on improving At-Bay's underwriting technology and products.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal team and external vendors to resolve cyber incidents
- Evaluate coverage for claims and draft coverage letters
- Build strong relationships across the company and serve as a trusted advisor for underwriting and risk functions
- Foster feedback loops with underwriting and security teams to enhance product development and automated Underwriting Engine
- Cultivate relationships with brokers and insureds to provide excellent service
- Evaluate and manage exposure for cyber incidents
- Report on significant claims to management
- Evaluate and proactively set reserves
- Focus on continuous improvement in claims management, Underwriting, and Security feedback loops
Requirements
- 4-8 years of insurance claims-handling experience, with at least 50% of claims handled being in cyber insurance
- Experience handling miscellaneous professional liability (E&O) third-party claims is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Licensed claims adjuster (licenses in multiple states preferred)
- College degree or equivalent experience/education
- Insurance practice experience as a paralegal may be considered

Pay
