Sr. Civil Engineer
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Civil Engineer for a challenging 12-month contract (with extensions possible) based in Richmond, VA.
Top Requirements
- 5+ years of Civil Engineering experience with a strong background in design review and permitting (local, state, federal)
- Proven experience leading projects from initial design through construction
- Exceptional knowledge of RFIs, submittals, regulatory compliance, and permitting processes
- Ability to work onsite in Chesapeake, VA, 5 days/week
- Strong organizational skills, self-discipline, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and analytical thinking
Responsibilities
- Take charge of engineering design reviews
- Serve as the lead engineer to ensure project quality, regulatory compliance, and timely milestones are achieved
- Provide oversight during construction activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
Minimum high school diploma; Civil engineering degree and PE preferred but not required
