What you'll do at IP Corporation as a Sr. Chemist
- Develop unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins for use in fiber reinforced plastics.
- Play a key role in the development and improvement of polyester and vinyl ester processing.
- Lead projects that lead to product qualification by the customer and implement technology transfer to manufacturing.
What you’ll bring to IP Corporation
- BS/BA Degree in chemistry, polymer, or material science.
- 5 + years of industrial R&D experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge and practical experience in project management, experimental design, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and pass a Respirator Test.
- Experience with polymer synthesis, characterization of polymers and composites, and knowledge of surface science.
- Experience in polymer characterization by physical and chemical methods.
- Knowledge of unsaturated polyesters and vinyl esters or other similar thermoset resins and coatings.
- Knowledge of fillers and additives used in the formulation of composite materials.
- Demonstrated an interest and capability to direct the work of others to achieve successful project outcomes.
