Sr. Chemical Process Engineer

About the role

The Senior Chemical Process Engineer ensures process engineering standards and how they relate to the development, documentation, and production of all products at All Flex. The role requires a thorough understanding of circuit assembly and design variables that affect product quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain specific goals, visions, and implementation for manufacturing processes.
• Support and mentor production teams, assist with machine, process, or part issues, and resolve NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
• Engage in customer contact regarding workability, quality, and design issues.
• Document and train employees on process documents, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant.
• Participate in meetings with engineers, plant managers, sales, and other staff to apply consolidated knowledge and experience to problem-solving.
• Initiate and support improvement projects, providing technical support for new capabilities.
• Advise on capital investments aligned with company goals.
• Document and standardize equipment and chemical maintenance procedures.
• Perform monthly water sampling, organize analytical testing, and report results to the city.
• Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing water quality, chemical usage, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Train employees on hazardous waste handling and safety precautions.
• Analyze systems and manage necessary upgrades to meet increased capacity requirements.
• Monitor water discharge and identify and correct any non-compliant water discharges.
• Represent All Flex with city, county, state, and federal hazardous waste agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of experience in etching, plating, hazardous waste, or similar industries.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing production company’s concepts and applications.
• Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and/or Lean Six Sigma.
• Knowledge and understanding of HAZWOPER, OSHA, DOT training.
• Knowledge and understanding of IPC standards, ISO9001/AS9100.

Skills

• Strong understanding of circuit assembly and design variables affecting product quality.
• Experience in manufacturing processes and production company applications.
• Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and/or Lean Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of HAZWOPER, OSHA, DOT training.
• Understanding of IPC standards, ISO9001/AS9100.

Pay

We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $95,000 to $120,000, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus and profit-sharing opportunities tied to performance.
