About the role
The Senior Chemical Process Engineer ensures process engineering standards and how they relate to the development, documentation, and production of all products at All Flex. The role involves a thorough understanding of circuit assembly and design variables that impact product quality.
Responsibilities
- Maintain specific goals, visions, and implementation of manufacturing processes.
- Support and mentor production teams, assist with machine, process, or part issues, and resolve NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
- Engage in customer contact regarding workability, quality, and design issues.
- Document and train employees, keep process documents updated, and address audit findings.
- Initiate improvement projects, provide technical support for new capabilities, and advise on capital investments.
- Document and standardize equipment and chemical maintenance procedures.
- Perform monthly water sampling, organize analytical testing, and monitor incoming and outgoing water quality.
- Manage chemical usage, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste, and train employees on safety.
- Analyze systems, manage upgrades to meet capacity requirements, and monitor discharged water for compliance.
- Represent All Flex with relevant agencies and participate in meetings with engineers, plant managers, sales, and other staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in etching, plating, hazardous waste, or similar industries.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing production company concepts and applications.
- Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and/or Lean Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of HAZWOPER, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
- Understanding of IPC standards, ISO9001/AS9100 principles.
