SR CATERING MANAGER- Campus Dining Team-Abilene Christian University- ABILENE, TX
Location: On campus at Abilene Christian University, Abilene, TX. Salary range: $75,000–80,000.

Chartwells Higher Education is re-inventing the on-campus dining experience by investing in high-tech, food-infused social spaces that foster meaningful relationships. We are seeking a Senior Catering Manager to lead the catering department at Abilene Christian University, developing and driving catering solutions to meet customer needs while collaborating with the Catering Chef on menu development. This role oversees Premium Suites and Press/Club level dining for all home football games. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required as needed.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute both internal and external catering events to ensure seamless execution and outstanding customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain the catering marketing plan, offering clients comprehensive event planning and detailed menu development tailored to their needs.
- Lead the hiring, training, and scheduling of catering staff, contributing to their development in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure successful catering operations, including meticulous control over labor and food costs, and manage preparation, transportation, setup, operation, and cleanup of all events.
- Foster strong client relationships to align programs with their objectives, driving satisfaction and retention.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient dining service operations.
Qualifications
- A.S. degree or equivalent experience.
- General hospitality knowledge with an interest in sustainability and sustainable food practices.
- At least two years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to interact with a diverse and high-volume customer base in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Experience operating web-based ordering systems, processing customer requests, order changes, menu updates, and client profiles.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to write professional and efficient emails to clients and customers.
- Ability to meet company-specific uniform standards and utilize personal protective equipment per company guidelines.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, accomplish tasks without direct instruction, and problem-solve for optimal solutions.
This position supervises hourly employees, including delivery and culinary personnel.
