Position Overview And Primary Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions) Alutiiq Professional Consulting, LLC a subsidiary of Afognak Native Corporation has an opportunity for a Senior Buyer - Corporate. The Senior Corporate Buyer is responsible for the strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management of goods and services supporting the company's corporate functions and commercial operations. This role serves as a trusted procurement advisor to stakeholders, leading sourcing activities, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement of products and services. The Senior Corporate Buyer will help drive value through spend management, process improvement, risk mitigation, and supplier performance management while maintaining compliance with company policies and procurement best practices. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, working three days per week from our corporate office in Anchorage, Alaska. Lead sourcing and procurement activities for corporate and indirect spend categories and direct commercial operations.Manage the complete procurement lifecycle from requisition through contract execution and purchase order issuanceDevelop sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, service, risk, and supplier performance. Conduct competitive bidding activities, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs). Evaluate supplier proposals and prepare recommendations for award. Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships that support business objectives. Monitor supplier performance against established expectations and service requirements. Resolve supplier performance, delivery, quality, and invoicing issuesSupport executive-level purchasing requirements with professionalism and confidentiality. Act as the primary procurement contact for assigned corporate functions and collaborate with departmental leaders to understand business requirements and procurement needs. Coordinate with Legal, Finance, IT Security, and other stakeholders to facilitate contract reviews and approvals. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, delegated authority requirements, and ethical sourcing standards. Maintain complete procurement documentation and purchasing records. Support internal and external audit activities as required. Track sourcing projects and report realized savings and business benefits. Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction. Pay Range: $65,000 to $80,000 Annually Required Qualifications And Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or purchasing experience preferred.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Demonstrated experience supporting corporate or indirect procurement categories. Strong experience negotiating commercial agreements and supplier contracts. Knowledge of procurement principles, strategic sourcing methodologies, and supplier management practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with ERP, purchasing, and procurement systems. Deltek CostPoint preferred.Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365 skills.
