Sr Buyer

Senior Buyer Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite/Hybrid) Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 Base Salary About the Opportunity We are partnering with a growing medical device manufacturer in the Charlotte area seeking a Senior Buyer to support strategic sourcing and procurement activities across a regulated manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in supplier management, cost reduction initiatives, contract negotiations, and ensuring continuity of supply for critical components and materials. Responsibilities Manage procurement activities for direct and indirect materials.Develop and maintain supplier relationships to drive quality, delivery, and cost performance.Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management.Support inventory optimization and supply continuity efforts.Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.Ensure procurement processes align with quality and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.7+ years of purchasing, procurement, or sourcing experience within a manufacturing environment.Medical device manufacturing experience strongly preferred.Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 certified environments is required.Strong supplier negotiation and strategic sourcing experience.Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems.Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Background Medical device, life sciences, healthcare manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or highly regulated industry experience.Proven track record of driving cost savings and supplier performance improvements.Experience supporting quality-focused manufacturing operations.
