Sr. Buyer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will manage procurement activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Communication: Clearly convey procurement concepts to stakeholders at all levels. Resolve conflicts and build consensus when necessary. Communicate purchasing policies and procedures to all relevant parties, ensuring transparency and understanding.
Negotiations: Utilize strong negotiation skills to resolve disputes and secure advantageous terms. Bring about compromise or alternative solutions that benefit stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate business-critical risks associated with procurement activities. Conduct market analysis, understand supplier risks, and implement strategies to manage potential impacts on supply chain continuity and cost.
Collaboration: Develop joint strategies and foster a team-oriented environment. Accept and analyze multiple viewpoints to drive the best overall solution.
Supplier Management: Establish new supplier relationships and implement onboarding processes. Evaluate and monitor contracts, conduct supplier reviews and audits, and develop risk management programs. Assess when to escalate issues and involve appropriate decision-makers.
Relationships: Build relationships at a higher management level internally and with suppliers to foster open communication and move the relationship forward.
IT Skills: Possess advanced IT skills, including proficiency in ERP systems, data analysis software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Continuous Improvement: Optimize purchasing processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Identify root causes and provide solutions for continuous improvement. Stay informed on industry best practices and pursue ongoing education and training. Encourage the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance procurement strategies. Implement feedback systems from internal teams and suppliers to drive improvements.
Analytical Skills: Interpret complex data related to market trends, pricing, and supply chain logistics. Evaluate the pros and cons of different suppliers and products to make informed decisions. Identify and resolve issues within the purchasing process swiftly. Ensure accuracy in order processing, inventory records, and contract management. Predict future market behaviors and purchasing needs by analyzing current data trends.
Customer Service: Maintain positive and professional relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery. Provide timely and effective support to internal stakeholders regarding procurement-related inquiries and issues. Communicate purchasing policies and procedures to all relevant parties, ensuring transparency and understanding.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, 6+ years of purchasing or related experience, ERP system experience, ability to lead teams and influence peers and other cross-functional teams; strong communication skills, ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS Degree, Purchasing experience working in a fast-paced Global Supply Chain environment, Oracle ERP and COUPA, Knowledge of SWS Quicksight and Tableau, Agile Documentation System, Commodity knowledge including Electrical and Mechanical Material in a manufacturing environment, CPM or CPSM Certification, Exhibits Entrust Values: Innovative, Collaborative, Agile, Empowered and Customer-focused, Advanced understanding of supply chain replenishment techniques such as vendor managed inventories, consigned inventories and advanced stocking points.

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $96,803-$141,978 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company's discretionary annual incentive plan.
