About the role
The Senior Business Director – ChemCare / OSS holds full P&L ownership for a $300M revenue, $45M EBITDA integrated services business, driving profitable growth, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across ChemCare and OSS.
What you'll do
- Business Leadership
- Oversight of a cross-functional organization (~90 employees) across commercial, operations, and support functions
- Own and deliver Annual Operating Plan (AOP) across revenue, Gross Margin, and EBITDA
- Drive pipeline-led growth (new business, cross-sell, churn recovery)
- Lead performance cadence: MORs, pipeline reviews, KPI dashboards
- Optimize portfolio toward targeted high-value verticals
- Drive pricing strategy and value capture in partnership with Finance and Commercial Excellence
- Lead a strong safety and compliance culture, ensuring adherence to EH&S, environmental regulations, and risk mitigation standards across the business
- Relationship Management
- Serve as executive sponsor for enterprise customers
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships across CD, Ops, and Supply Chain
- Lead joint account planning and cross-sell execution
- Manage vendor and disposal network relationships
- Represent business in executive, customer forums, and industry forums
- Strategic Vision
- Define and execute multi-year ChemCare / OSS strategy
- Embed services into broader Univar commercial engine
- Drive segmentation, targeting and growth initiatives
- Lead business transformation initiatives, including process standardization, technology enablement, and operating model optimization
- Drive adoption of digital tools (automation, analytics, system integration) to improve efficiency and customer experience
- Identify strategic investments for growth and scalability
- Position integrated lifecycle service offering as competitive differentiator
- People Leadership
- Lead a cross-functional team spanning commercial, operations, and support functions
- Establish culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Align organization structure to support growth
- Drive talent development and succession planning
- Lead organizational change and transformation initiatives

What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years leadership experience in industrial services or chemical distribution
- Proven P&L leadership experience
- Strong commercial acumen and growth leadership
- Experience in regulated environments (EH&S, waste services)
- Track record of leading transformation
- Ability to operate strategically and tactically
Where you'll work
This is a remote position that can be based anywhere within the United States.

- Salary range: $223,000 – $265,000 annually (specific offer influenced by relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location)
