About the Role

As a Private Equity (PE) Senior Leader with AWS, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on cloud migration and optimization strategies of Private Equity (PE) firms and their portfolio companies. You will lead a team that identifies PE portfolio companies that are undertaking a cloud transformation journey. Working closely with AWS sales teams, business development and technical resources, you will shape strategic, technical and financial decisions with the portfolio companies. Typical cross-functional collaboration includes, working closely with AWS strategic corporate development, specialist sales, product management, partner and marketing teams on strategic initiatives that tie in to the PE community.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as regional co-leader of the PE Business Development team in helping to drive overall AWS market and technical strategy.
  • Serve as a reliable escalation point for key PE firms with portfolio companies that have infrastructure needs and drive strategic engagement with those PE firms.
  • Execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, partners, marketing, support, etc.).
  • Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Business Development Managers and Solutions Architects from internal and external sources.
  • Build and coach the team on the skills needed to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions so they can transfer deep technical skills to customers who are considering or using AWS.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS private equity BD and field sales community.
  • Educate customers across all segments on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience.
  • 10+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing high performance teams in the tech industry.
  • Experience with and deep knowledge of the PE and VC industries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS technologies.

Pay & Compensation

  • Base salary range: $213,000.00 - $288,200.00 annually (USA, CA, San Francisco; USA, NY, New York).
  • Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
  • Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
