Sr Business Applications Analyst

Location: Remote. Candidates must have experience with Facets to be considered.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Applications Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert for our application areas, supporting the Facets healthcare claims platform. This role bridges the gap between business and technology teams, focusing on health insurance claims systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for application areas, including data definitions, usage, file structure, and business rules governing system functionality.
• Lead the development of Package Software modification requirements and Interface Design Specifications.
• Configure necessary tables in Packaged Software to support specific business areas and maintain all file configurations.
• Plan and serve as a key liaison with business areas during development and implementation.
• Independently analyze business problems or opportunities and implement effective solutions.
• Provide direction and assistance to junior staff members.
• Offer technical leadership and application expertise to project teams and in non-project related activities.
• Provide detailed configuration expertise and consultative support to customers and business partners.
• Analyze current Package Software usage and report to business areas on potential improvements.
• Execute key components of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including designing, code development, unit testing, and documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with Facets configuration, claims operations, requirements gathering, testing, and system releases.
• Experience supporting Facets platforms is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree required. In lieu of a degree, seven or more years of experience in a related field will be considered.
• This position does not require developer skills such as Java or C#.
