SR Business Analyst - Business Applications

Description

The Senior Business Analyst partners with business stakeholders and application development teams to define, document, refine, and validate business and system requirements that support the Patient Services and Marketing organizations. This role serves as a key liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are translated into effective technology solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Communication and Collaboration
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and application development teams.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and solution review sessions to ensure alignment on business needs and project objectives.
• Communicate application enhancements, project status, risks, decisions, and release updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Developers, Quality Assurance, and business leaders, throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Requirements Management and Analysis
• Partner with Patient Services, Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders to gather, document, analyze, and refine business and system requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, functional requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage and prioritize requirements and enhancement requests in collaboration with business and technical teams.
• Ensure requirements are complete, clear, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Support backlog grooming and sprint planning activities.
• Solution Development Support
• Collaborate with development teams during solution design and implementation to clarify requirements and support decision-making.
• Evaluate proposed solutions to ensure they meet business and user requirements.
• Obtain and document end-user feedback to support continuous enhancement of business applications.
• Develop and maintain business process documentation, functional specifications, and system documentation.
• Testing and Release Readiness
• Develop test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria for application enhancements and new functionality.
• Career with UAT activities.
• Validate that delivered solutions meet documented requirements and business expectations.
• Support release planning, deployment readiness, and post-release validation activities.
• Aid in the development of training materials and user communications for new features and system changes.
• Reporting, Tracking, and Documentation
• Maintain accurate documentation for requirements, business processes, decisions, and project deliverables.
• Track and report on the status of enhancements, defects, and project activities.
• Aid in the development of reports, dashboards, and metrics that support business decision-making and operational visibility.
• Aid in the development of application support requests and enhancement opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in business, IT, business analytics, finance or a related field with 5-10 years of experience.
• Knowledge and experience working with core business applications and reporting tools such as presentation Microsoft Office suite, Power BI, and Excel data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and data analysis skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of business processes or stakeholder management.
• Experience in a regulated environment such as healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or health services.
• Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, and FileMaker.
