Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores business is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join the Operations Analytics team. This role leverages data platforms and analytical tools to assess and convert data into actionable business insights, influencing decisions across the company. The role also builds automation tools for reporting and generating insights, enabling clients to quickly and accurately monitor performance.

Responsibilities

  • Solve the most complex and ambiguous analytical projects on a company-wide basis.
  • Engage with senior leadership to identify and define business-critical process improvements.
  • Act as an advocate for the value and business impact of Business Analysis projects and outcomes.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, including task assignments, resources, milestones, review points, and reporting requirements.
  • Consultatively deliver data-generated insights and recommendations with the potential to transform business direction and decision-making.
  • Work with leadership to shape and drive the future direction of retail concepts and practices.
  • Develop new metrics to track the business and uncover previously unforeseen trends.
  • Remain current with industry, process, and technology trends.
  • Lead functional continuous process improvement by recommending enhancements and identifying new tools and technologies.

A day in the life

  • Query data and create reporting for stakeholders to align on approach.
  • Produce content for business reviews, ad hoc reporting, and discovery analysis to address problem statements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • 3+ years of experience writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau or Power BI.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
  • Experience with Excel and SQL.
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
  • Experience in financial or business analysis.
  • Experience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation.

Pay

  • USA, TX, Austin: $118,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually.
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $118,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually.
  • USA, WA, Seattle: $118,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually.
