About the role

This role is responsible for leveraging a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to assess and convert data into actionable business insights, which will be used to influence business and retail decisions across the company. The role will also build automation tools for reporting and generating insights, allowing clients to quickly and accurately see how stores, regions, products, and processes are performing.

Responsibilities

  • Solve the most complex and ambiguous analytical projects on a company-wide basis.
  • Engage with senior leadership to identify and define business-critical process improvements.
  • Act as an advocate for the value and business impact of Business Analysis projects and outcomes to the organization.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, including task assignments, resources, milestones, review points, and reporting requirements.
  • Consultatively deliver data-generated insights and recommendations with the potential for transforming business direction and decision-making.
  • Work with leadership to shape and drive the future direction of retail concepts and practices.
  • Develop new metrics to track the business and uncover previously unforeseen trends.
  • Remain current with industry, process, and technology.
  • Lead functional continuous process improvement by recommending enhancements and identifying new tools and technologies.
  • Query data and create reporting, including content production for business reviews, ad hoc reporting, and discovery analysis to solve problem statements.
  • Meet with stakeholders to align on approach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau or Power BI.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
  • Experience in financial or business analysis.
  • Experience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation.

Pay

Base salary range for this position:

  • USA, TX, Austin: $118,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually.
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $118,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually.
  • USA, WA, Seattle: $118,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually.

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
