Sr. Business Analyst – Inpatient Strategy & Operations
About the role
The Sr. Business Analyst will support high-profile projects with exposure to hospital executives, both clinical and operational, designed to reinforce hospital-wide and department-specific strategic goals and increase operational efficiencies. Role has the opportunity to engage in projects spanning operations, clinical quality, inpatient strategy, and staffing optimization.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects, with support from Ops Director, and use data to derive meaning and guide strategic initiatives
- Work directly with central operational, clinical and business leaders to identify and analyze gaps in process and performance, and guide inpatient focused initiatives
- Works autonomously, sets priorities and makes independent decisions of a complex nature
Requirements
- Confidence and adaptability to tackle complex and unstructured problems
- Positive attitude and willingness to own all aspects of a project
- Superb communication skills to distill complicated issues into clear recommendations for administrative and clinical teams
- Advanced quantitative and critical reasoning skills to structure and carry out analyses
- Strong interpersonal skills to navigate competing stakeholder interests
- Ability to work independently and with matrixed teams
- Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects to meet deadlines (with support from Operations Director)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of related experience with a focus in data analysis, problem structuring, project management, strategic planning (or 1-2 years’ experience in top Management Consulting firms, or someone with clinical operations & analytics experience)
