Sr. Billing Specialist

About the role

The position of Billing Lead oversees the accurate and timely processing of customer invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Billing Operations: Oversees the processing of customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Documentation: Ensures all billing documents are correctly prepared and filed.
• Compliance: Ensures all billing activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Issue Resolution: Identifies and resolves billing issues and discrepancies. Collaborates with internal departments to address and resolve complex billing problems.
• Process Improvement: Develops and implements best practices for billing processes.
• Team Coordination: Leads and coordinates the billing team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Training and Development: Assists in training team members on billing processes and systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in billing, preferably in the warehouse or logistics industry.
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of billing operations.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to address and resolve customer billing issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

• Logistics knowledge is a plus.

Pay

$65,000 – $70,000 annually, plus bonus.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
