Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests to provide personalized recommendations and create a welcoming, inclusive environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory and restock supplies.
- Step out from behind the bar to attend to customers shopping around the store.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy shifts.
- Uphold all liquor laws and regulations, including checking IDs and monitoring responsible alcohol service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associate’s degree or higher in hotel and restaurant management a plus.
- Must be 21+ and hold a valid TABC license or the ability to obtain one.
- At least 1 year of bartending experience.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage trends.
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling procedures.
- Must have a flexible schedule.
- Physical ability to lift 25-50 lbs. for restocking and receiving shipments.
