Sr. Backend Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power our core services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend systems using modern technologies and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure system integration and user experience.
• Optimize and maintain existing backend systems to improve performance and reliability.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Experience with at least one major programming language such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Strong understanding of database design and optimization techniques.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and familiarity with JSON.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of security best practices and experience with securing backend systems.

Pay

• Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
