Sr. Associate I, Field Technical Service Engineering - Surgical
About the role
As the Digital Field Service Engineer, you serve as the technical expert for Alcon's connected equipment and digital service solutions. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting network-connected ophthalmic devices while partnering with customers to ensure secure connectivity, remote support capability, and optimal system performance. You will collaborate with Field Service Engineers, commercial teams, and customer IT organizations to drive digital adoption, support new technology launches, and enhance the customer experience through proactive service and connectivity solutions.
Territory: GA, AL, TN (other locations as business needs). Ideal candidate locations: Knoxville/Chattanooga/Nashville, TN – Birmingham, AL – Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure connected ophthalmic equipment and digital applications.
- Support network integration, cloud connectivity, and remote monitoring capabilities.
- Partner with customer IT departments to ensure successful device connectivity and cybersecurity compliance.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Train customers and field teams on digital workflows and connected technologies.
- Support product launches, upgrades, software updates, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with FSEs, sales teams, and service leadership to improve equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.
- Drive adoption of Alcon digital solutions and connectivity programs.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
