Responsibilities
- Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
- Guides site recruiting and employee relations processes.
- Responsible for human resource activities including employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, and training and development.
- Interviews job applicants; reviews applications/resumes; evaluates applicant skills and makes recommendations regarding qualifications.
- Coordinates the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
- Performs specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested.
- Processes various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc.
- Conducts new-hire orientations, counsels employees on benefit features.
- Trains new employees as required on self-service HR tools.
- Aids in audit and reporting of site staffing programs.
- Maintains employee hardcopy files.
- Inputs employee personal data into human resources information/computer system (HRIS) database.
- Provides information to employees on matters pertaining to their personal employee information.
- Captures termination and reduction in force activities including paperwork, related distributions, and communications.
- Reviews and updates exit paperwork for team, closes out exiting employee’s files, stores exit interview data for reporting.
- May conduct employee exit interviews and tally general statistics including headcount tracking.
- Maintains organizational charts with up-to-date information.
- Works on special projects in support of the HR organization.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- 5+ years HR experience, preferably in high technology/manufacturing environment.
