Responsibilities
- Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
- Guides site recruiting and employee relations processes.
- Supports human resource activities including employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, and training and development.
- Interviews job applicants, evaluates applicant skills, and makes recommendations regarding qualifications.
- Collaborates on the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
- Performs research and investigation into operational issues as needed.
- Processes various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc.
- Conducts new-hire orientations, counsels employees on benefit features, trains new employees on self-service HR tools.
- Aids in audit and reporting of site staffing programs.
- Maintains employee hardcopy files, inputs employee personal data into HRIS database, provides information on personal employee information, coordinates termination and reduction in force activities, reviews and updates exit paperwork, conducts employee exit interviews, tallies general statistics including headcount tracking.
- Works on special projects in support of the HR organization.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- 5+ years HR experience, preferably in high technology/manufacturing environment.
