Sr Applications Development Analyst

About the role

The Sr App Development Analyst will lead highly complex or enterprise-critical projects requiring diverse programming expertise. This role is responsible for leading application analysis, design, development, integration, and enhancement while managing multiple, concurrent projects and support efforts.

Responsibilities

• Drives communications with business customers and technical teams.
• Leads implementation strategy discussions for testing to ensure functionality supports business processes.
• Writes clean, efficient, and well-documented code, including Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) configurations.
• Mentors technical teams to improve product functionality, developing standards and best practices.
• Conducts code reviews, quality assurance activities, and adheres to ITIL processes.
• Stays current with application releases, relevant technology, and industry best practices.
• Authors knowledge-sharing documentation.
• Leads application tasks for multiple medium to complex cross-functional projects.
• Provides value-added coding based on understanding business processes.
• Leads application patch activities, mentoring team members to apply patches and collaborate with IT teams to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Facilitates effective collaboration and meetings, delegating tasks to drive issue resolution.
• Drives solutions to technical problems and communicates effectively with vendors, customers, and team members.

Requirements

• Five or more years of direct work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree, certification, or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• United States citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).

Skills

• Experience in SQL, Python, HTML, JAVA, and GitLab.
• Industry knowledge of manufacturing, government, and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
• Demonstrated initiative to maintain technical currency through outside studies and training.
