Sr. Application Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs based on technical configurations developed by analysts and project teams.
• Estimates and tracks time required to complete work, for project budgeting and financial tracking.
• Develop program designs to meet technical configurations, ensuring that resulting systems will operate efficiently and reliably.
• Understand business functions supported by the application to encompass within the design framework.
• Ensure design integrates with other related systems.
• Maintain and ensure systems are running at optimum speed and efficiency.
• Ensure systems are kept maintained and current; develop and maintain scripts to automate system components; configure and install software, maintenance packages, supporting products and other features.
• Support, update, and maintain existing systems in response to business needs, system problems, or other factors.
• Coordinate with project teams.
• Identify business needs, assess available technologies, and develop and present solutions.
• Provide high level of customer service, partnering with end users in the resolution of problems or in deployment of new applications.

Requirements

• 7 or more years of software development experience in maintaining new & legacy solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• AI-enabled SDLC experience (hands on), to accelerate software delivery, improve code quality, generate and review tests, support troubleshooting.
• Experience with multiple languages including Java/Kotlin, Python, etc.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, MySQL, GitHub actions or Jenkins
• Strong experience to lead the development of technical module
• Experience with Cloud development – AWS or GCP
• AWS Serverless Technologies – Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, etc.
• Experience with PostgreSQL is preferred
• Mature understanding and experience with secure coding and design principles
• Experience in transforming business requirements into elegant design and quality code, & in unit testing
• Experience in leading initiatives, process improvement, and tech debt planning
• Experience working in Agile Scrum team(s)
• Mature understanding and experience with technical design patterns to ensure overall quality and stability
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to make data driven decisions
• Experience in transforming business requirements into technical solutions

Qualifications

• Seasoned programming skills in Java/Kotlin or similar programming language with continuous integration framework using GitHub, Maven, & Jenkins.
• Familiarity with object-orientated analysis and design, as well as Domain-Driven Design (DDD) software design methodology that is used to build scalable transaction systems.
