Sr Application Developer

About the role

Prominent is seeking a Senior Application Developer for a contract to hire opportunity. The ideal candidate must be on Prominent's payroll as a W2 employee and be based within a reasonable commute to their client's offices in Greenwood Village, Colorado, Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, or Omaha, Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients and leadership
• Assist with development of agile user stories and tasks
• Assist with troubleshooting software application and configuration issues
• Assist with Azure application deployments, testing, configuration, and installation
• Assist with performance tuning
• Ensure security is a priority and identify security vulnerabilities
• Ensure application resiliency and disaster recovery
• Create detailed documentation for the application
• Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team for effective collaboration

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Lead .Net application developer
• Full stack capability
• Strong and current familiarity with Azure platforms and services, including Azure App Services, Azure API Management, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights, Azure SQL, etc.
• Expertise with Visual Studio, C#, Python, Docker, JSON, REST Services, OIDC, SAML, HTML frameworks such as Angular or React, and similar Azure development technologies
• Technical experience with MS Azure, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, ASP. Net, C#, Java Script, HTML, Typescript, Angular, Git, Terraform, Fortify, Sonatype
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
• Strong understanding of security best practices for Azure deployments, including code scanning, access controls, IAM, and data encryption
• Awareness of FedRAMP, FISMA, and/or Zero Trust Architecture
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools like Azure DevOps
• Experienced with Agile methodologies, Scrum
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
