About the role
The Senior Application Launch Manager will lead projects implementing Kenco's Warehouse Management (WMS) systems across the company's network of sites. This role involves addressing business needs with systems related to Kenco's platform, serving the warehousing/logistics industry.
Responsibilities
- Independently leads the coordination of all project activities during the life of a project; including design, implementation planning and execution; scheduling kickoff meetings; requirements gathering; analysis; build, testing and launch; vendor liaise; customer liaise; development and maintenance of product documentation; development and maintenance of product training materials; troubleshooting; and Level 3 production support.
- Writes the business requirement documentation for configuration, customizations and integrations as well as develops those documented customizations for the WMS, Labor Management Systems (LMS) or Warehouse Control Systems (WCS).
- Leverages a collaborative approach to project management and works toward consensus, agreement/alignment.
- Manages project risks, including mitigation planning.
- Develops communication plans, including project status reporting, and effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Tracks the progress of all departments' activities and reports status to management and related departments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or a related field required.
- Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in project management and implementation launching WMS and/or LMS.
- Proficiency in SQL required.
- Experience integrating WMS systems with ERP systems (SAP for example) required, WCS (Warehouse Control Systems) a plus.
- Ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients as well as third-party service/product providers.
- Knowledge of Distribution center/logistics concepts—understand best practices, conversant in warehousing terminology, ability to read and visualize "to be" model based on experience, and able to look beyond current practices.
- High degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT-related concepts effectively with executive-level management.
- Strong business planning and analytical skills, including market intelligence, metrics, financial analysis and business model development.
- Highly motivated and self-sufficient, requiring little to no guidance completing assigned tasks.

Travel Requirements
This position is expected to travel approximately 25% - 50%. A passport is not required, but recommended.
