What You Will Do
- Provide IT systems administration support in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Manage and maintain core services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory (AD), and server replication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex issues involving integration of hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Implement and manage data RAID, backup, and recovery technologies.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain compliance with security requirements.
- Install, configure, and document software applications requested by end users.
- Provide user and system documentation, process training, and ongoing technical support.
- Participate in on-call or after-hours system maintenance as required to support 24x7 operations.
- Travel up to 5% domestically based on business needs.
Qualifications You Must Have
- A typical combination of a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- At least 2 years of experience with some of the following: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, MySQL, Windows or Linux system administration, and network administration.
- The ability to meet Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Linux system administration experience highly desired.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Operating System Certification (Microsoft, Red Hat, etc.).
- Experience with NISPOM or DoD/RMF compliance.
- Experience in: Windows Desktop and Server management, Data storage (NAS/SAN) solutions, IT project lifecycle management, VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX, Microsoft WSUS and Exchange, Supporting software, simulation, and hardware engineering environments, High Performance Computing (HPC) environments, Scripting/Automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
